SLADE-PLAY IT LOUD-1970-First press UK-POLYDOR -2383 026 Matrix A-2/B-2. A very rare British original of the cult album.  Play It Loud is the second studio album by the British rock band Slade. It was released by the Polydor label on November 28, 1970, but failed to chart. The album, produced by Chas Chandler, was the first to be released under the Slade name since the band's 1969 debut album was released under the Ambrose Slade name. In 1973, the album would achieve commercial success in Canada after Polydor was released there, peaking at number 40. In 1975 he received the silver status. ...more

KANSAS-MONOLITH-1979-THE FIRST PRESS USA-KIRSHNER-PZ36008. A very rare American original of the cult album.  Monolith is the sixth studio album by the American progressive rock band Kansas, released in 1979.  Initially, about 800,000 copies of Monolith were sold, which gave it gold status, but it eventually went platinum in the early 1990s. Kerry Livgren donated his platinum record to the Kansas State Historical Society. The album peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Albums Chart, becoming their third consecutive (and last) studio album to reach the top ten. The album remained on the Billboard Albums chart for a total of 24 weeks and was one of the top 100 albums of the charts (#100) for the calendar year 1979. ...more

A very rare British original of the cult band..The third album of the wonderful Mungo Jerry, on which they continue to be in the framework of a jagband band that is branded for them. I don't think that, in comparison with the first two, the material here sags much more often, in general, this record is designed absolutely in the same stylistic spirit: pipes and kazoos, washing boards, unpretentious jagband and blues motifs. The peculiarity of such Mungo Jerry in general, and this album in particular, is that with all the buzz, relaxation and non-tension, at some point all this begins to have the opposite effect. The highlight of the album is the beautiful, bright, tenacious and generally one of the best things Mungo Jerry "You Don't Have To Be In The Army To Fight In The War", without which you can not do anything.    ...more

MAHALIA BARNES (FR. JOE BONAMASSA)- OOH YEA.. BETTY DAVIS SONGBOOK (2LP)-2015-FIRST PRESS UK/EU-PROVOGUE-PRD7455-1.  A rare original of the cult album.  Full release title: Mahalia Barnes / The Soul Mates featuring Joe Bonamassa "OOH YEA (The Betty Davis Songbook)". The album was recorded over three days at Freight Train Studios in Sydney, Australia, "live", without overdubs. The hard groove and riffs (Bonamassa immediately declares his presence) and the sharp piercing vocals in the title track If I'm In Luck I Might Get Picked Up turn into a love story - soul In The Meantime with a dominant organ and, again, a prolonged solo by Bonamassa. The funky He Was A Big Freak gives Mahalia the opportunity to show all her vocal capabilities. The album is made up of covers of songs by Betty Davis, Miles Davis' wife, recorded in the early 70s. Betty met Miles Davis in the late 60s and introduced him to the world of psychedelic rock, introduced him to Jimi Hendrix. Later she released three solo albums, which influenced the formation of such musicians as Prince, Ice Cube, Erykah Badu, etc. Her music consists of a thundering mix of funk, soul, R/B, served raw with sexual overtones and hooligan fervor. Listen and see what happened here. Mahalia Barnes is the daughter of the famous Australian rock/blues singer Jimmy Barnes, who has absorbed soul, blues and rock and roll music since childhood. Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder have always been her idols. Last year, in the studio, she performed several Betty Davis songs in the presence of renowned producer Kevin Shirley (Joe Bonamassa, Led Zeppelin, Journey). So the idea of a whole disc was born, which was willingly supported by Joe Bonamassa, who took a full-scale part in these recordings. "OOH YEA” is an ambitious work by a young singer, a modern interpretation of Betty Davis' music. The participation in the recording of great musicians (including Mahalia's father) and the described producer guarantee a high level of material.
