A rare Scandinavian original . Close Enough for Rock ’n’ Roll is the seventh studio album by the Scottish rock band Nazareth, released in 1976. The album was released in March 1976. The album was produced, as well as the previous one, by Manny Charlton. The highlight of the album is the Telegram composition, which is a four-part work describing the difficult touring life of rock musicians. ATLANTIS-SAME-1972-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-VERTIGO-6360609. A rare original continuation of the cult prog group FRUMPY. Atlantis was formed at the end of the summer of 1972 by Inga Rumpf (vocals), Jean-Jacques Kravets (keyboards) and Karl-Heinz Schott (bass). These musicians previously played in the band Frumpy. The founding members also included guitarist Frank Dees and drummer Kurt Kress (formerly of the band Emergency). After several live performances in Germany, the first LP was released at Island Records Studio in London, which was widely recognized, especially in the United States, where Rumpf's bluesy vocals were appreciated. Diz and Kress left the band after recording. For a four-week tour of England with Procol Harum and Traffic, George Meyer joined Atlantis as guitarist and Udo Lindenberg joined Atlantis as drummer. After the tour, they were replaced by Dieter Bornschlegel (who had previously worked with the band Dreamtorte) and Ringo Funk (who had previously worked with Geronimo), with whom the second album It's Getting Better (1973) was recorded. ...more

Best of Dark Horse 1976-1989 is a compilation album by English musician George Harrison, released in October 1989. His second compilation, after the Capitol/EMI compilation The Best of George Harrison (1976), contains songs from Harrison's releases on his Dark Horse label between 1976 and 1987. The album also includes the 1989 single "Cheer Down", which became Harrison's contribution to the soundtrack to the movie "Lethal Weapon 2", and two tracks recorded specifically for the compilation: "Poor Little Girl" and "Cockamamie Business". Despite the popularity of Harrison's work during this period – both as a solo artist with his album Cloud Nine (1987), and as a member of The Traveling Wilburys – the compilation failed to achieve commercial success. The Final Cut was released in the UK on 21 March 1983, and in the US on 2 April, it reached number one in the UK, surpassing The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. It was less successful in America, peaking at number six on the Billboard album charts. With over 1,000,000 units shipped in the United States, the Recording Industry Association of America certified Final Cut Platinum in May 1983.
