Best of Dark Horse 1976-1989 is a compilation album by English musician George Harrison, released in October 1989. His second compilation, after the Capitol/EMI compilation The Best of George Harrison (1976), contains songs from Harrison's releases on his Dark Horse label between 1976 and 1987. The album also includes the 1989 single "Cheer Down", which became Harrison's contribution to the soundtrack to the movie "Lethal Weapon 2", and two tracks recorded specifically for the compilation: "Poor Little Girl" and "Cockamamie Business". Despite the popularity of Harrison's work during this period – both as a solo artist with his album Cloud Nine (1987), and as a member of The Traveling Wilburys – the compilation failed to achieve commercial success. Matrices A-1 CTH/B-1 CTH.  A rare American early edition with the first matrices . The Soft Parade is the fourth studio album by the American rock band The Doors, released on July 18, 1969 on the Elektra label. The Soft Parade has not received approval from either critics or listeners. So, in the Billboard 200, the record reached only the sixth position, and in the charts of the UK and other European countries, the disc did not debut at all, unlike its predecessor Waiting for the Sun (1968). Of all the singles released in support of the album — "Touch Me", "Wishful Sinful", "Tell All the People"ruen and "Runnin' Blue" — only the first achieved sales success: it reached the third line in the Billboard Hot 100 and then received gold certification by the RIAA. Many music publications, for example, Rolling Stone, were dissatisfied with the record, mainly due to The Doors' attempt to move away from their style to the use of orchestral arrangements. Over time, music historians have changed their opinion about The Soft Parade for the better, but the CD is still recognized as one of the weakest works of the band during Morrison's lifetime. ...more
