Love over Gold is the fourth studio album by the British rock band Dire Straits, released on September 20, 1982 on Vertigo Records and Warner Bros. Records in the USA. The presence of detailed musical compositions with long instrumental passages in the album brings it closer in style to progressive rock. This is the last CD of the band recorded with the participation of the original drummer Peak Withers. The singles from the album, "Private Investigations", reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart, and "Industrial Disease" reached number 9 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. The album topped the charts in Australia, Austria, Italy, New Zealand, Norway and the UK, and peaked at No. 19 in the US. Love over Gold was later certified gold in the US, platinum in France and Germany, and double platinum in Canada and the UK.

It was released in 1972, after Joplin's death, as a double album. The first record contains performances with Big Brother and the Holding Company, and the second with the Full Tilt Boogie Band, recorded in different locations in 1968 and 1970. There are no live recordings from her first solo work with the Kozmic Blues band on the album, although the songs produced with this group were performed in Full Tilt Boogie Band recordings. Fleetwood Mac is the tenth studio album by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on July 11, 1975 by Reprise Records. It was the second album of the same name by the band, the first was the debut album of 1968. It was the first Fleetwood Mac album with Lindsey Buckingham as the guitarist and Stevie Nicks as the vocalist, after Bob Welch (guitarist, singer and composer) left the band at the end of 1974.
