Released in October 1990, the album was less positively received than Vol. 1, but still had a fair success. In the United States, "She's My Baby" (with guest guitarist Gary Moore) and "Inside Out" became radio hits, charting 2nd album rock and 16th album rock respectively. The album peaked at number 14 in the UK and number 11 in the US, where it was certified platinum by the RIAA.

By the time Computerwelt was released, pop music had already counted dozens of successful electronic bands who, having adopted Kraftwerk's previous ideas, took them to the next level; against this background, the Kraftwerk album was not so revolutionary. In the aspect of the band's creativity, the record, nevertheless, is considered strong, not least due to innovative rhythms. It was released in 1972, after Joplin's death, as a double album. The first record contains performances with Big Brother and the Holding Company, and the second with the Full Tilt Boogie Band, recorded in different locations in 1968 and 1970. There are no live recordings from her first solo work with the Kozmic Blues band on the album, although the songs produced with this group were performed in Full Tilt Boogie Band recordings. The photographs used for the gatefold album were taken by photographer David Gar in New York in 1969 and 1970. The album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 in the US. ...more
