Rare British original of the cult album..Never Let Me Down is the 17th studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on April 20, 1987 on the EMI America label. It was recorded at Mountain Studios in Montreux, Switzerland, and at the Power Station in New York City from September to November 1986. The album was produced by Bowie together with David Richards, and also with the participation of Peter Frampton on guitar. Musically, Never Let Me Down was characterized as pop rock, art rock and hard rock; Bowie himself considered this album a return to rock and roll. The cover depicts Bowie surrounded by numerous elements from the songs. Never Let Me Down was a commercial success, peaking at number 6 in the UK. On the Road to Freedom is an album by English rock musician Alvin Lee and American gospel singer Milon Lefevre. Released in November 1973, it was Lee's first solo project, which achieved international success thanks to his leadership of a blues rock band ten years later. The album was recorded at Lee's home studio in south Oxfordshire, which he and Lefebvre built specifically for the project. Guest musicians on the sessions were George Harrison, Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Ron Wood and Mick Fleetwood. "Fallen Angel" and Harrison's song "So Sad (No Love of His Own)" were released as singles from the album. The album On the Road to Freedom was well received by music critics, although Lee's more subtle guitar playing and new musical direction were not welcomed by fans Ten Years After.  ...more

Procol's Ninth Rare British original is the eighth studio album (ninth, including live) Procol Harum, released in August 1975. Produced by songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, Procol's Ninth album was slightly different from the previous album, with a much brighter sound than Chris Thomas' more elaborate works. According to an interview with guitarist Mick Grabham, taken by Roland Clare for the 2009 reissue, Leiber and Stoller paid less attention to the producer sound, and more to the "structure of the songs". The band appeared on the album cover in a simple, unassuming photograph reflecting the sound of the album itself. The signatures of each band member were reproduced on the cover. ...more
