The album is named after the god of military prowess Tyr from Scandinavian mythology. The composition "The Battle of Tyr" and the songs: "In Odin's Court", "Valhalla" are dedicated to Scandinavian mythology and Vikings. In support of the album, a single and a video clip with the ballad Feels Good to Me were released, as well as a concert tour.

Emotional Rescue is the 15th British and 17th American Studio album by The Rolling Stones, released in 1980. After the success of the previous album Some Girls, which became their biggest hit to date, The Rolling Stones returned to the Studio in early 1979, to begin writing and to write its sequel. Members Mick Jagger (vocals), Keith Richards (guitar), Ronnie wood (guitar), bill Wyman (bass guitar) and Charlie watts (drums) joined by frequent collaborators Ian Stewart (guitar), Nicky Hopkins (keyboards), Bobby keys (saxophone) and sugar blue (harmonica).After the release, he topped the charts in at least six countries, including the US, UK and Canada. Passion and Warfare is the second studio album by guitarist Steve Vai, released on May 22, 1990 on Relativity and Epic Records. He received a gold certificate from the RIAA. Passion and Warfare was written based on a series of episodes of dreams that Vai had when he was younger, and in the album's guitar notes book Vai summarizes it this way: "Jimi Hendrix meets Jesus Christ at a party that Ben Hur arranged for Mel Blanc." It was all recorded at Mothership Studios in his Hollywood Hills home, a 1,600-square-foot (150 m2) building that also recorded his guitar parts for Whitesnake's 1989 album Slip of the Tongue. Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale has small spoken parts on the album; Coverdale, Adrian Vandenberg and Rudy Sarzo are credited with backing vocals. Vai claims that planning for the album began back in 1982, but was postponed after joining David Lee Roth's band and was not resumed until the breakup with Roth in 1989. ...more
