East of Eden were a British progressive rock band who had a Top 10 hit in the UK with the single "Jig-a-Jig" in 1970. The track was stylistically different from any of their other work. Although some may consider them a symphonic progressive band, others claim that their style is mainly jazz-oriented.In 1968 they moved to London and signed a recording contract with Deram Records. In 1969 they released the album Mercator Projected, followed by Snafu (1970) which entered the Top 30 of the UK Albums Chart, while the single "Ramadhan" took second place in France.

ABBA-VOULEZ-VOUS-1979-THE FIRST PRESS OF SWEDEN-POLAR - POLS282.A rare Swedish original of the cult album. Voulez-Vous is the sixth studio album by Swedish pop band ABBA, released in 1979. The release is characterized by a large number of dance-oriented tracks, but it is wrong to define the genre of the album as exclusively "disco"; for example, the song "Does Your Mother Know" has quite definite rock motifs. The work on the album went on for more than a year, and during this time the participants had accumulated more material than what they managed to put on the album. Among the works of that period published much later, it is worth mentioning the composition Dream World, included as a bonus track on the 2010 reissue. In 1981, the album "Voulez-Vous" was released in the USSR by the company "Melody" and became the last numbered album "ABBA", released in the Soviet Union. The album, like the previous one, was a huge success, placing in the charts of all countries in the top ten. It became multi-platinum in just one year. ...more

VENTURES- GUITAR FREAKOUT-1967-FIRST UK PRESS-LIBERTY-SLBY1345 Rare original of the cult album..The Ventures is an American instrumental rock band formed in Tacoma, Washington in 1958 by Don Wilson and Bob Bogle. The band, which was a quartet for most of its existence, helped popularize the electric guitar around the world in the 1960s. Although their popularity in the United States waned in the 1970s, the band remains especially revered in Japan, where they tour regularly. The classic line-up consisted of Wilson (rhythm guitar), Bogle (originally lead guitar, later bass), Noki Edwards (originally bass, later lead guitar) and Mel Taylor (drums). Their first widely released single, "Walk, Don't Run" (1960), brought the band international fame and is often cited as one of the best songs ever recorded for guitar. In the 1960s and early 1970s, 38 of the band's albums charted in the United States, peaking at number 6 on the Best Albums charts of the 1960s, and the band had 14 singles on the Billboard Hot 100. With over 100 million records sold, the Ventures are the best-selling instrumental band of all time. The Ventures is an American instrumental rock band formed in Tacoma, Washington in 1958 by Don Wilson and Bob Bogle. JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE-ELECTRIC LADYLAND-1968 ORIGINAL PRESS 1973 UK-POLYDOR - 2310269-70. A very early reissue of the album with a re-recorded sound. Electric Ladyland is the third and final album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, released in 1968.Recording the album was accompanied by constant difficulties. After a troubled tour of Scandinavia and England, Hendricks decided to move to the US. Disillusioned with the creative limitations of record companies, he set up his own Studio in new York city, where he could implement all his musical ideas. The construction of the Studio was accompanied by problems, and its construction was finally completed only in the mid-70s.As a result, Jimi recorded the bulk of the material at the Record Plant studios. Due to difficulties in his relationship with the band's bassist, Noel reading, Jimi played most of the bass guitar parts himself, including the bass solo on "1983". During the recording of "All Along the Watchtower", reading went to a nearby bar, Hendrix took his bass and recorded the song."Voodoo Chile "was recorded during Hendrix's late-night jam session featuring Mitch Mitchell, Steve Winwood on Hammond organ, and Jack Casady on bass guitar; it served as the basis for" Voodoo Child (Slight Return)", recorded the following day. The double album "Electric Ladyland" revealed the full breadth of Hendrix's musical talent. It includes samples of every genre of music from psychedelia ("Burning of the Midnight Lamp") to Blues guitar jam ("Voodoo Chile"), 50s-style rock and roll ("Little Miss Strange") and the epic" A Merman I Should Turn to Be", which can be considered an early example of progressive rock. Hendrix also recorded a cover version of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower", which many (including Dylan himself) call the best version of this song."Electric Ladyland" reached number one on the US charts; the UK version only reached number five. In 1998, readers of Q magazine ranked "Electric Ladyland" as the 22nd greatest album of all time. In 2002, the album was ranked # 8 in the "100 best rock albums of all time" by Classic Rock magazine ...more
