It was recorded at Guillaume Tell Studio in Paris, produced by Chris Thomas, and its cover was designed by Gianni Versace. The album held the 2nd place for three weeks in a row, not reaching the 1st place in the UK, being removed from the first line by Lionel Richie's compilation Back to Front. However, it was John's best-selling album in the United States since 1976, and it was certified 2× platinum in that country by the RIAA. ABBA-VOULEZ-VOUS-1979-THE FIRST PRESS OF SWEDEN-POLAR - POLS282.A rare Swedish original of the cult album.  Voulez-Vous is the sixth studio album by Swedish pop band ABBA, released in 1979. The release is characterized by a large number of dance-oriented tracks, but it is wrong to define the genre of the album as exclusively "disco"; for example, the song "Does Your Mother Know" has quite definite rock motifs. The work on the album went on for more than a year, and during this time the participants had accumulated more material than what they managed to put on the album. Among the works of that period published much later, it is worth mentioning the composition Dream World, included as a bonus track on the 2010 reissue. In 1981, the album "Voulez-Vous" was released in the USSR by the company "Melody" and became the last numbered album "ABBA", released in the Soviet Union. It was first released in April 1968. It was Moby Grape's highest-charting release in the United States, peaking at number 20 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Guitarist Mike Bloomfield and keyboardist Al Cooper recorded several songs from the album, most notably "Never", which was listed as the source for the later Led Zeppelin song "Since I've Been Loving You". ...more

STING-BRING ON THE NIGHT (2LP'S)-1986-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-AM-829473-1. ...A rare European original of Sting's first live tour. BRING ON THE NIGHT is Sting's first live album, recorded during several concerts in 1985 and released in 1986. The title is taken from a song by the Police from their 1979 album Reggatta de Blanc. The songs performed include Sting's early solo material from the studio album The Dream of the Blue Turtles and from his time with The Police, with some performances performed as a medley of the two. The touring band features prominent jazz musicians Branford Marsalis on tenor and soprano saxophones, Darryl Jones on bass guitar, Kenny Kirkland on keyboards and synthesizer, and Omar Hakim on drums. Backing vocalists Janice Pendarvis and Dolette McDonald also perform. Despite the lack of hit singles, the album reached number 16 on the UK album Charts and earned Sting a Grammy Award in 1988 for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. ...more
