He also directed the film "More", for which Pink Floyd also recorded the soundtrack. The CD was recorded in six days in France, at the Chateau d’Erouville. As in the case of the soundtrack to the movie "More", several modified versions of the tracks can be heard on the album. A very rare British original of the iconic album. Off the Ground (from English — "From the ground") is the ninth solo studio album by Paul McCartney, released in 1993, McCartney's first studio album in the 1990s, following Flowers in the Dirt released in 1989. The album Off the Ground itself was released on February 1, 1993. The album rose to number 5 on the UK chart, and to number 17 on the US chart (it was certified gold there). The album was the first McCartney album in which no single became a notable hit in the United States; this has not been the case in McCartney's practice since the Wings Wild Life album in 1971. While the single "Hope of Deliverance" was floundering somewhere in the depths of the American singles chart, it rose to number 18 in the UK; "C'mon People" was less successful in the UK chart, and almost unnoticeable in the US. The album rose to number 5 on the UK Top 100 Albums Chart and stayed on the chart for only 6 weeks. In Germany, the album achieved relatively greater success, rose to number 2 and stayed there for 4 weeks, was certified platinum; the single "Hope of Deliverance" rose to number 3 on the singles chart. In the United States, the single "Off the Ground" rose to number 27 on the Adult Contemporary chart.A few weeks after the release of the album, McCartney and the band began a world tour ("The New World Tour"); the tour lasted 6 months, and many successful concerts were given in different countries. WHO WILL SAVE THE WORLD?-A 1972 album recorded by The Groundhogs, originally released by United Artists Records in 1972, The cover is in the form of a comic book featuring groundhogs depicted by superheroes, drawn by comic book artist Neil Adams. In the story, they are fighting the personified evils of overpopulation, environmental pollution, war, "Pig Business" and "Sacred Cow" (religion), as well as a drug-addicted Monkey. Each of the band members is fighting their own evil, which has been hindering them from the very beginning, only for them to stand out and wreak havoc in another part of the globe. The lyrics of each song touch on these themes, and despite the comic nature of the cover, the lyrics are quite serious because they are politically and socially motivated.This was the first Groundhogs album to go beyond guitar/bass/percussion instruments, with McPhee using keyboards (mellotron and harmonium) on a number of tracks. ...more
