Off the Ground (from English — "From the ground") is the ninth solo studio album by Paul McCartney, released in 1993, McCartney's first studio album in the 1990s, following Flowers in the Dirt released in 1989. The album Off the Ground itself was released on February 1, 1993. The album rose to number 5 on the UK chart, and to number 17 on the US chart (it was certified gold there). The album was the first McCartney album in which no single became a notable hit in the United States; this has not been the case in McCartney's practice since the Wings Wild Life album in 1971. While the single "Hope of Deliverance" was floundering somewhere in the depths of the American singles chart, it rose to number 18 in the UK; "C'mon People" was less successful in the UK chart, and almost unnoticeable in the US. A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the rock band Queen, released on December 2, 1975. The record was a great success: its sales reached three million, and in the UK charts it held the first position for four inconsistent weeks. The title of the album — "Night at the Opera" — as well as the subsequent one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers, namely from the film of the same name. At each Queen concert, several songs from A Night at the Opera were necessarily performed (while "Love of My Life" was never performed in the album version). It is considered that the song "Death on Two Legs" is dedicated to the former producer of the band. The album was released in the USA on June 7, 1976 by Capitol Records (catalog number SKBO 11537), in the UK on June 10, 1976 by Parlophone (catalog number PCSP 719); at that time, some media suggested that the album was released on the twentieth anniversary of the first meeting of John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
