A very rare original of the iconic album  The Kink Kontroversy is the third studio album by English rock band The Kinks. It was released in the United Kingdom on November 26, 1965 by Pye Records. Released in the United States on March 30, 1966 by Reprise Records, it became The Kinks' first American album with the same track list as its British counterpart. This is a transitional album containing elements of both earlier Kinks styles (songs with strong blues influences such as "Milk Cow Blues" and variations on the themes of the band's hits from 1964 to 1965 based on power chords such as "Until the End of the Day") and early indications of the future direction of Ray Davis' songwriting styles ("The World Keeps Going Round" and "I'm on an Island"). The title notes were written by Michael Aldred. The single "Till the End of the Day" became a real hit, peaking at number 8 in the UK and number 50 in the US, staying on each chart for eight weeks or more. ...more

SLADE-WHATEVER HAPPENED TO SLADE-1977-FIRST PRESS UK-BARN -2314103.A rare British original of the legendary band.Whatever Happened to Slade is the seventh studio album by the British rock band Slade. It was released on March 21, 1977 on Barn Records, but failed to chart nationally. By the time the album was released, Slade's popularity was declining, as were their record sales, which they acknowledged in the album title. The glam rock movement that Slade was associated with died, and the careers of other glam rock artists such as Mud, Gary Glitter and Sweet went downhill. In Britain, where Slade was traditionally the most popular, punk rock was in fashion.
