SMOKIE-CHANGING ALL THE TIME-1975-THE FIRST UK-RAK PRESS number SRAK517. A-1/B-1 matrices. A very rare British original of the legendary band. On this day in 1975, the band Smokie releases their second album, called ‘Changing All The Time'. This album is a testament to the changes. After its release, the band had to slightly change the spelling of its name to avoid being nagged by lawyers for American soul singer Smokey Robinson. However, only the last two letters have changed. But the Smokie sound has undergone significant changes. The band's curators, hit makers, Chinn and Chapman tried to give it more softness with echoes of country rock, which was supposed to turn Smokie into the British answer to the Eagles. A very rare original of a cult album.  Act One is the debut album by the Scottish progressive band Beggars Opera. The debut album of Beggars Opera, variously classified as symphonic rock, progressive rock or proto-progressive rock, has been compared to the works of The Nice and Deep Purple MK I (sometimes described as a "derivative" of them). It was published by Vertigo (which at that time introduced its legendary label swirl) in 1970 and features a cover by renowned surrealist photographer and artist Marcus Keefe (the same one who created the covers for the first three Black Sabbath albums). ...more

Fate of Nations is the sixth studio album by British singer Robert Plant. It was released on May 25, 1993. "From the very beginning of this project, around January 1991, right after the Manic Nirvana tour, I knew what I was going to do: go back in time, listen to [Moby] Grape, [Jefferson] Airplane, Tim Hardin, Quicksilver, Traffic and other rock musicians. These people were trying to tell the listener something by joining various traditions, with the understanding that the search was planned and intertwined in their acoustic and electronic themes. I'm also proud of the fact that I tried to make the album lyrical, trying to tell vivid stories that come from heartfelt traditional prose."Robert Plant. The Fate Of Nations album appeared by the middle of 1993. This album features not only Plant's regular band, but also many guest musicians such as Maire Brennan, Nigel Kennedy, and Richard Thompson. Guitarist Kevin Scott MacMichael also contributed significantly to the album. Fate Of Nations has absorbed a variety of styles and influences, some of which come from Led Zeppelin. DEEP PURPLE-THE HOUSE OF BLUE LIGHT-1987-FIRST GERMANY PRESS-POLYDOR-831318-1. Rare europe original iconic group. The House of Blue Light is the twelfth Studio album by British rock band Deep Purple and the second, recorded by the reunited "classic lineup" of the group, published in January 1987. In the Soviet Union was released by the record label "Melody" in 1988. The group gathered to record 12 APR 1986 in Massachusetts, USA, but has already finished recording in Vermont. According to Ritchie Blackmore, recording this album was a long and painful process, many tracks had to be rewritten. September 26, 1986 Roger Glover started mixing the album at Union Studios in Munich. It was assumed that all group members will be present at the same time, in order to make the last adjustments, however, the musicians appeared in the Studio, and left with it when they please: the contradiction between group members increased again, especially intense was the old conflict between Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Gillan. So out of all the members of the group only Gillan recorded several smaller parties. Had various disputes over the album, such as title (pace offered to call the album the title of one song — Black and White; also considered options such as The Acid Test, and It's Not That Bad!), songs (challenge the inclusion in the album of the song "Mitzi Dupree"). In connection with the complexities of entry and disputes a test version of the master disk appeared only on 18 December 1986, and, for example in the US, the album was planned (and announced) at the end of October of the same year. It was released on February 4, 1991. The last album "Queen", recorded and released during the lifetime of Freddie Mercury. The name Innuendo contains an "indirect hint" that the band in such a composition will not last very long. The last songs were very difficult for Freddie, who was already seriously ill. Nevertheless, the album was finished and well received by the public. Several music videos were shot in support of him, one of which, "These Are The Days of Our Lives", became the last video featuring Mercury.Despite mixed critical acclaim, Queen's new album reached number one on the album charts in Holland, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and her native UK, becoming double platinum. ...more
