KEITH JARRETT-NUDE ANTS (2LP'S)-1980-FIRST PRESS GERMANY- ECM-ECM 1171/72. A rare original of the iconic jazzman. The album, recorded by jazz pianist Keith Jarrett in May 1979 and released on ECM in May 1980, is the third release by his "European Quartet" featuring saxophonist Jan Garbarek and rhythm section, Palle Danielsson and John Christensen. After 1974, the AllMusic review by Scott Yanow states: "Due to the popularity of the obsessive "My Song" this album is the most famous of Jarrett and Garbarek's collaborations, and in fact it's their most rewarding meeting ever. Jarrett wrote all six tracks, and the results were relaxed and introspective, but at the same time full of inner tension."
