Monolith is the sixth studio album by the American progressive rock band Kansas, released in 1979. Monolith initially sold about 800,000 copies, giving it gold status, but it eventually went platinum in the early 1990s. Kerry Livgren donated his platinum plate to the Kansas Historical Society. The album reached number 10 on the Billboard Albums Chart, becoming their third consecutive (and last) studio album to reach the top ten. The album remained on the Billboard Albums chart for a total of 24 weeks and was one of the top 100 albums of the charts (#100) for the calendar year 1979.

"Over the Hudson" is the third studio album by Soviet, American and Russian author-performer Willy Tokarev, released in 1983 on the Sava Recording Corporation label in the USA. The producer is Willy Tokarev. At the age of 40, in 1974, Willy Tokarev emigrated to the United States with $100 in his pocket. He was sheltered for 2-3 weeks by the Tolstoy Foundation, whose head was Alexandra Tolstaya, daughter of Leo Tolstoy. There he was a courier, a cleaner in a bakery, sorted through the Russian library of a millionaire, a newspaper deliveryman, became unemployed because he did not know English well, so he began to learn the language by reading American newspapers, graduated from a nurse's course, learned to drive a car, passed a taxi driving test and began working as a taxi driver to earn money for recording records, writing songs in his spare time, he was robbed four times (once, on Christmas Day, he was almost killed by a black man). He played at Carnegie Hall on a balalaika, which he bought at a souvenir shop on Fifth Avenue for $ 50, then played and sang in restaurants and nightclubs. Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by British rock band Deep Purple, released on October 29, 1984. It was the most successful album recorded by the reformed "Mark II" line-up. It was Deep Purple's first studio album in nine years, and the first with the Mk II line-up in eleven years, the last was Who Do We Think We Are in 1973. Richie Blackmore and Roger Glover came from Rainbow, Ian Gillan from Black Sabbath, Jon Lord from Whitesnake and Ian Pace from Gary Moore are backingthe group.
