Def, Dumb and Blonde is the third solo studio album by American singer Deborah Harry. Released in October 1989 on Sire Records in the USA and Chrysalis Records in the UK, the album returned Harry to her professional name "Deborah" rather than "Debbie". Harry worked on the album with various producers, including Tom Bailey of the Thompson Twins and Mike Chapman, who previously produced the last four Blondie albums. "I wanted to do something that would remind me of Blondie," she said.   The song "I Want That Man", written by Tom Bailey and Alanna Curry of the Thompson Twins, was released as the title single. This is one of the innovative albums in the style of jazz fusion. The name is a translation of the Latin phrase morituri te salutant, which, according to popular belief (but not academic agreement), gladiators addressed to the emperor before the start of a gladiatorial duel. The original vinyl album had the name "Colosseum" on the record label and on the spine of the cover, but the album is better known as "Those Who are About to Die Greet You". The album reached number 15 on the UK Albums Chart. ...more

TURN! is the second studio album by the American rock band the Byrds, released on December 6, 1965 on Columbia Records. Like its predecessor, Mr. Tambourine Man, the album continued the band's successful combination of vocal harmony and rattling twelve-string guitar. The album reached number 17 on the Billboard Top LPs chart and climbed to number 11 in the United Kingdom. "Turn! Turn around! Turn Around!" the single beat the album by two months and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Another single from the album, "Set You Free This Time", was less successful and did not reach the top 50 in the United States. In Turn! Turn! Turn! McGinn's songwriting contributions increased, and rhythm guitarist David Crosby first gained recognition as a songwriter on The Byrds album, but most of the original material was still written by prolific songwriter Gene Clark. A total of 14 of the band's singles were in the top twenty of the UK Singles Chart; two of them — "Here Comes My Baby" and "Silence Is Golden" — were successful in the United States.The Tremeloes were (according to Allmusic) "one of the most talented in the British pop-rock scene of the 1960s, releasing expertly crafted, memorable hit singles", in 1966-1970 had great success on both sides of the Atlantic, but remained underestimated — largely due to the fact that they often sang and I borrowed song material, but most importantly, because I was "too late" for the start of the British invasion.
