A rare German original of the cult album. Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by British rock band Deep Purple, released on October 29, 1984. It was the most successful album recorded by the reformed "Mark II" line-up.  It was Deep Purple's first studio album in nine years, and the first with the Mk II line-up in eleven years, the last was Who Do We Think We Are in 1973. Richie Blackmore and Roger Glover came from Rainbow, Ian Gillan from Black Sabbath, Jon Lord from Whitesnake and Ian Pace from Gary Moore are backingthe group. The album was a commercial success, reaching number 5 on the UK charts and number 17 on the US Billboard 200. Perfect Strangers became only the second Deep Purple studio album to receive platinum status in the United States after the 1972 album Machine Head.
