FREDDIE AND THE DREAMERS -YOU WERE MAD FOR ME-1964-FIRST PRESS (MONO) UK-COLUMBIA-33SX1663. A rare British original rock beat band. Mitch Murray was invited to the project, who wrote several songs for FREDDIE AND THE DREAMERS, and two subsequent singles, "I'm Telling You Now" and "You Were Made For Me", took second and third place in the charts. All this happened in 1963, and their first full-length album was released in the same year. As was often the case in those days, he was named after the band, Freddie And The Dreamers.  And it was a success! Those who know the history of rock music in the sixties will agree with me: not every talented band could count on such success. It was recorded at Trident Studios in London in March 1970 and released in October 1970 in the UK and January 1971 in the USA. This is a concept album based on the themes of country and western and Americana. All songs written by John and Bernie Taupin, except "Love Song" by Leslie Duncan. In 2012, Tumbleweed Connection was ranked 458th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All time. The album reached number two on the UK Albums Chart and number five on the US Billboard 200 chart. ABBA-VOULEZ-VOUS-1979-THE FIRST PRESS OF SWEDEN-POLAR - POLS282.A rare Swedish original of the cult album.  Voulez-Vous is the sixth studio album by Swedish pop band ABBA, released in 1979. The release is characterized by a large number of dance-oriented tracks, but it is wrong to define the genre of the album as exclusively "disco"; for example, the song "Does Your Mother Know" has quite definite rock motifs. The work on the album went on for more than a year, and during this time the participants had accumulated more material than what they managed to put on the album. Among the works of that period published much later, it is worth mentioning the composition Dream World, included as a bonus track on the 2010 reissue. In 1981, the album "Voulez-Vous" was released in the USSR by the company "Melody" and became the last numbered album "ABBA", released in the Soviet Union. TEN YEARS AFTER-WATT-1970-THE FIRST PRESS UK-DERAM-SML1078 Matrix XZAL10255,P-2W/XZAL10256,P-1W, Stamper 1UU/1GG (Very early!) A very rare original in a complete set (poster 65 cm x 65 cm) of the iconic British rock and blues band. Watt's album sounded in many ways like a continuation of "Cricklewood Green": it is based on the same pointed riffs and "angry" vocals, except that the general mood here is a little lighter. Alvin Lee began experimenting with complicated song structures, but achieved the greatest effect in riff stuff ("I'm Coming On"), soul-country "My Baby Left Me" (unrelated to the Elvis Presley song), "I Say Yeah", where the synthesizer sounds quite in the spirit of Keith Emerson ("Aquatarkus") and the ballad "Think About The Times".. After the release of the Watt album, the band's contract expired, and Wright transferred it to Columbia Records. ...more

QUEEN-A NIGHT AT THE OPERA-1975-FIRST PRESS UK-EMI - EMTC103.Matrices A-4/B-4. A rare British original. A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the rock band Queen, released on December 2, 1975. The record was a great success: its sales reached three million, and in the UK charts it held the first position for four inconsistent weeks. The title of the album — "A Night at the Opera" — as well as the subsequent one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers, namely from the film of the same name. At each Queen concert, several songs from A Night at the Opera were necessarily performed (while "Love of My Life" was never performed in the album version). It is considered that the song "Death on Two Legs" is dedicated to the former producer of the band. "Bohemian Rhapsody" brought the band a resounding success and in 2000 was recognized in Britain as the "song of the millennium". The final album "God Save the Queen" is the anthem of Great Britain arranged by Brian May; it was this composition that invariably completed each concert of the band.
