MOORE GARY-WILD FRONTIER-1987-FIRST PRESS UK-10 RECORDS- DIX56. A rare British original by a great guitarist. Wild Frontier is the sixth solo studio album by Northern Irish guitarist Gary Moore, released on March 2, 1987. This is his first studio work after returning to his native Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1985. The album contains several songs about Ireland. The album is dedicated to the memory of Moore's close friend and former Thin Lizzy member Phil Lynott, who died on January 4, 1986. It says "Philippe" on the back cover. Wild Frontier contains the hit single "Over the Hills and Far Away", which reached number 20 in the UK, as well as a cover version of the Easybeats song "Friday on My Mind". Max Middleton's song "The Loner" was originally recorded by Cozy Powell for his album Over the Top in 1979 (on which Moore performed, although not on Powell's recording of "The Loner"). Moore significantly changed the track for his recording, so he is listed as a co-author. The song "Crying in the Shadows", which was released as the B-side of the single "Over the Hills and Far Away" in December 1986 and featured as a bonus track on the Wild Frontier CD, was also recorded by Japanese singer Minako Honda under the name "The Cross (Ai No Jujika)"with Moore as the guitarist.

ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA - SAME-1971-The first press UK-HARVEST-SHVL797 matrix A-1U/B-1U Stamper 1RG/2RL (Very early!!!) The first album of the famous band, a rare British original. The Electric Light Orchestra is the debut studio album by the English rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), released in December 1971 in the United Kingdom by Harvest Records. In the United States, the album was released in March 1972 under the title "No Answer" after a United Artists Records employee misunderstood a phone call and asked for the album's name; the caller, unable to contact ELO, wrote "no answer" in his notes, and this was misinterpreted as the album's title. The album is dedicated to the main trio of Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne and Bev Bevan, who were the remaining members of the rock band The Move. The Move continued to release singles in the UK at the same time that the project was launched, but interest in Wood's former band soon waned. In fact, The Move's latest album, Message from the Country, was recorded simultaneously with The Electric Light Orchestra. ...more

WINGS-LONDON TOWN-1978-THE FIRST JAPAN PRESS-MPL-EPS-81000 Rare Japanese original in top condition with a poster.  London Town is the sixth studio album by the British—American rock band Wings. It was released in March 1978, two years after its predecessor Wings at the Speed of Sound. The album had a long and stormy preparation, during which the band's 1977 tour plans were canceled due to the fact that Linda McCartney became pregnant with her and Paul McCartney's fourth child, and two Wings members left, leaving the band as a trio consisting of Paul, Linda and Danny Lane. Recording sessions took place intermittently throughout the year, mostly at Abbey Road Studios in London and aboard a luxury yacht in the Virgin Islands. "London Town" reached the top 5 of the UK and US charts. However, he failed to repeat the success of the three previous Wings albums, and he received mostly negative reviews from music critics. The lead single "With a Little Luck" became a number 1 hit in the United States, but subsequent singles from the album had only minor chart success. Also recorded during the sessions was the 1977 single "Mull of Kintyre", which until 1984 was the best-selling single in the history of the British charts and remains the best-selling single in the UK to this day. ...more
