Station to Station is the tenth studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on January 23, 1976 on the RCA Records label. The album, considered one of his most significant works, became the embodiment of Bowie's "Thin White Duke" stage persona. The Station to Station album, produced by Bowie and Harry Maslin, was primarily recorded at Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles, California, in late 1975, after Bowie had completed filming on The Man Who Fell to Earth. The cover was designed based on a shot from the movie. During the recording, Bowie suffered from various addictions, primarily cocaine, and later said that he remembered almost nothing about the recording process. "From Station to Station" was often included in the lists of the greatest albums of all time according to various publications. In 1995, it was ranked 21st on Mojo magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Albums Ever Made, making it Bowie's highest-rated album on the list. In 2003, Rolling Stone ranked it 323rd on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, 324th on its revised 2012 list, and 52nd on its revised 2020 list. In 2004, The Observer ranked the album at number 80 on its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums. Vibe magazine included the album in its list of the 100 most important albums of the 20th century. In 2013, NME magazine ranked the album 53rd in its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of all time. Uncut magazine ranked the album 30th in its list of the 200 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2015. A year later, the British Classic Rock magazine ranked the album fifth on its list of the 100 Greatest Albums of the 1970s. ...more

A rare Japanese original of a cult album.  Tug of War is the third solo studio album by English musician Paul McCartney, released on April 26, 1982. This is his 11th album since the breakup of The Beatles in 1970, his first album released since the breakup of his band Wings last year, and his first album since the assassination of his former collaborator John Lennon.  Rolling Stone music critic Stephen Holden called Tug of War "a masterpiece that everyone always knew Paul McCartney could create," and particularly admired his vibrant music and consistent songwriting. The album restored McCartney's reputation in the eyes of critics after what was considered a difficult period for him. BOWIE, DAVID-STAGE (2 LP'S)-1978-FIRST PRESS UK-RCA- PL02913(2) A rare double concert by a British legend. Stage is the second live album by English musician David Bowie, recorded during the Isolar II Tour and released on RCA Records in 1978. The recording was made at concerts in Philadelphia, Providence, and Boston, USA, in late April and early May 1978. It mainly included material from Bowie's last studio albums at that time, "Station to Station", "Low" and "Heroes" (both 1977), but also contained five songs from "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" (1972). In addition to Bowie's main band, consisting of Carlos Alomar, Dennis Davis and George Murray, the band included former Frank Zappa member Adrian Belew on guitar, Simon House from Hawkwind on electric violin, Roger Powell, best known for working with Todd Rundgren in the band Utopia, on keyboards and Sean Mays on piano, string ensemble and backing vocals. They all reunited the following year on Bowie's next studio album Lodger (1979). Stage was a commercial success. In the UK, she took 5th place in the charts and subsequently received a gold certificate from the British Phonogram Producers Association (BPI). It also reached number 44 on the US charts. ...more

It reached 9th place in the UK Albums chart, three positions higher than its predecessor 40 Blue Fingers, Freshly Packed and Ready to Serve. This album was the last for Kristin Perfect as a member of Chicken Shack.Their second lp, O.K. Ken? It was released in February 1969 and was also a chart success, as was the previous album 40 Blue Fingers, Freshly Packed and Ready to Serve. Despite the fact that it surpassed the first album, reaching number 9 in the UK charts, unlike the first LP, it quickly dropped out of the charts due to the lack of a single to support it. ...more
