Rare British early edition of the cult album.  Can't Buy a Thrill is the debut studio album by American rock band Steely Dan, released in November 1972 on ABC Records. It was written by band members Walter Becker and Donald Feigen and recorded in August 1972 at The Village Recorder in Los Angeles with producer Gary Katz. This album is one of the most stylistically eclectic in Steely Dan's work, combining the sounds of soft rock, pop rock and jazz rock, as well as philosophical, mysterious lyrics. The commercially successful album Can't Buy a Thrill reached 17th place on the US Billboard Top LPs chart.  Tape, which was promoted by the popular singles Do It Again and Reelin' In the Years, and eventually received a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
