Livin' Blues — Bamboozle (1972) The third studio album by the Dutch band Livin’ Blues, released in 1972 on the Philips label. Almost all the songs were written by Oberg and Christiansen, with the exception of the beautifully played ”Overture" Andrew Lloyd Webber and a cover of the song “Black Night” by American musician J.M. Robinson. The musicians relied on the next hit “L.B. Boogie", which set the mood for the whole album. But it turned out to be lively and bright – eight compositions from boogie rock to rhythm and blues. There was also a place for light sadness in it – Ted Oberg's instrumental composition “Sunrise”. In 1971, Dick Beckman was forced to leave the band, he was replaced by Johnny Le Jeune (ex-Island), a man who had been playing drums since the age of 5, a member of several Dutch bands. With him, the band recorded their third album with the strange name Bamboozle. The new drummer didn't last long for this album, then he joined the Schick Band. Tours began in Europe, where the arranged track "Overture" by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice (from Jesus Christ Superstar) was a great success.

Семь новых треков вряд ли могут составить конкуренцию старым хитам «Неприкасаемых» и «Бригады С» - возможно, поэтому Сукачёв не форсировал выпуск альбома, и запись этих семи композиций заняла около трёх лет. Для Гарика релиз стал способом зафиксировать накопившийся материал, а для слушателей - понаблюдать за тем, какая его сейчас интересует музыка и насколько сильно. Любителей «Напои меня водой» и даже «Моя бабушка курит трубку» «246» скорее разочарует. На концертах некоторые новые песни могут заиграть более-менее ярко благодаря драйву и харизме артиста, но на диске эта энергия ощущается в гораздо меньшей мере. Даже название альбома объясняется как-то невнятно: «Мир «246» - это мистическое пространство, которое начинается сразу за границей прошлого, после финальных титров, когда стрелки часов, замирая на цифре 12 (2+4+6), начинают движение в будущее». Подобные псевдофилософские образы, которые могут означать что угодно, а скорее всего, не означают ничего, - не конёк Гарика. Под стать этой вялой аннотации и большинство представленных песен: какие-то из них уже премьерились, но хитами не стали, и радостью узнавания сопровождается лишь одна из них, о которой скажем отдельно чуть позже. Музыкальную стилистику Сукачёва всё труднее ассоциировать с рок-н-роллом - это скорее шансоны и романсы, перемежаемые театрализованными триллерами вроде заглавной композиции. В отдельных вещах проявилась даже вальяжная раздумчивость, как у Александра Ф. Скляра в его сольном цикле «Библиотека путешествий»: видимо, совместные проекты музыкантов отозвались таким неожиданным эхом. Один из треков называется «Элегия» - и нет никаких сомнений в том, что жанр элегии нынешнему Гарику очень близок. Там он более органичен, чем в нарочито яростной «246». При этом лирическим песням не хватает мелодизма, а «сюжетным» - любопытных историй. В треке «А кто сказал?» Гарик вообще не поёт, а голосом раскаявшегося хулигана с окраины повторяет фразу: «А ты говоришь, что нет любви. Есть. Как нету?» В этом, наверно, много символического смысла, но интересы слушателей в расчёт не принимаются. ...more

Welcome to Wherever You Are is the eighth studio album by Australian rock band INXS, released on August 3, 1992.Taking a course on the grunge and alternative rock that was relevant in the first half of the 90s, INXS tried to find a new direction for themselves, a la U2 (Achtung Baby), the use of a sitar, a 60-string orchestra and a much more "raw" sound. Producer Mark Opitz described the writing process as follows: "There's a lot of Michael, Andrew and me on the album. The opinion of everyone and everyone is not present here, because some of them were busy with significant changes in their personal lives."
