Mastering was done by Robert Ludwig (label RL) 1st edition in the USA (with the Broadway address of 1841 on the labels), with Robert Ludwig's "hot" mastering on both sides. The first copies went on sale and began to be recalled for production, because the high bass led to poor quality cartridges (heads) malfunctioning, which forced people to return the album, believing that it was defective. Then another sound engineer was hired to redo a much less "hot" version of the album, and this is a common version..Houses of the Holy is the fifth studio album by British rock band Led Zeppelin, released on March 28, 1973 on Atlantic Records. Page described the idea of the cover as "a symbol of innocence, an expression of the idea that we are all beings who aspire to the promised heaven." Six-year-old Samantha Gates and her four-year-old brother Stefan posed. The cover photo is a collage of more than thirty images. The album cover did not contain any information about the artists or the title. In the USA, the headline was written on ribbons that were taped over children's buttocks. Despite this precaution, the record was banned in many states of the "Bible Belt".
