UK - British progressive rock band, a short-lived, but left a noticeable trace in the history of British progressive rock scene. The group was founded by vocalist and bassist John Wetton, drummer bill Bruford (both former members of King Crimson), keyboardist and violinist Eddie Jobson (later Roxy Music and the band of Frank Zappa) and guitarist Allan Holdsworth. Thanks to the participation of such famous musicians UK received the status of a supergroup. After recording the first album "U. K." left the band Bruford and Holsworth and took drummer Terry Bozzio (another native from the group of Frank Zappa).
