The first three albums included in the list of 40 best albums of the Canterbury scene, created the site Progarchives.com. In 1973 Van Geest and Vrolijk quit the band, they were replaced by Charlie Mariano (wind instruments) and Herman van Boeyen (drums). In the new structure, the group released the conceptual jazz-rock album Iskander (1973), which was based on the life story of Alexander the great.

In 1970, they recorded their second studio album, Death May Be Your Santa Claus, at Mushroom Studios and invited Second Hand to release their album there. The album was released in April 1971 with a supporting single titled "Funeral", featuring "Hangin' On An Eyelid " (track 2 from the album) as the B-side. This album was much more successful than the previous one, using a heavy symphonic rock style that clearly influenced the vocal style of Arthur Brown(Rob Elliott was a big fan of them). ...more
