Ixnay on the Hombre is the fourth album by American punk rock band the Offspring, was released on 4 February 1997. After the major success of the album Smash, the band returned to the Studio in 1996 to record their next album, which was titled Ixnay on Hombre. The name combines pig Latin ("Ixnay" version of the word "nix") and the word "Hombre" (which translated from Spanish means people). Ixnay on the Hombre was released on February 4, 1997 and is the first album The Offspring distributed by Columbia Records. Their former label Epitaph Records released it in Europe due to disagreements between the band and label founder Brett Gurewitz. Fly from Here — the name of the multipart composition, the basis of which ("We Can Fly from Here") was established in 1980 in preparation for the Drama album (the first rehearsal was held with the participation of bill Bruford on drums). The album was released on September 25, 1990. Second album, Doro is more of a solo project than a group setting.
