Reviewer of Classic Rock magazine, making a review of the anniversary reissue of Come Taste the Band 2010, noted the amazing work of Kevin Shirley on the second drive and stated that the album (received at the time of the cold reception), passed the test of time and is one of the best in the Deep Purple catalogue.
