The album was preceded by the release of several singles — "Big In Japan" in January, Sounds Like A Melody in may, and Forever Young in September, just before the album's release. The album sold over 2,000,000 copies. The song Forever Young did not initially become a popular hit, but has since been considered a classic of the 1980s. It was the first album to be released after the band's reorganization, following their breakup in 1970. Founding guitarist Luther Grosvenor did not return to the band, as he joined Mott the Hoople as a guitarist, adopting the stage name Ariel Bender . Grosvenor was replaced by Mick Jones, who later co-founded Foreigner, and drummer Mike Kelly was replaced by Bryson Graham . (Code M-0093). It was commissioned by the Vladimir Vysotsky Foundation, but after the release of the first two albums, the Foundation ran out of money and refused to Finance it. Aprelevka releases at its own expense several hundred pieces of the third and fourth album to pay for the preparation of albums.  The third and fourth discs are extremely rare and are welcome rarities of the master's work.  ...more
