No Dice is the third Studio album by the British rock band Badfinger, released by Apple Records and released on 9 November 1970. Their second album called Badfinger and the first to include guitarist Joey Molland, No Dice significantly expanded the popularity of the British band, especially abroad. The album included both the hit single "No Matter What "and the song" Without You", which was to become one of the most successful tracks of the rock era. No Dice reached number 28 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. Widely praised in music reviews at the time, Rolling Stone magazine opined that it represented what the Beatles would have sounded like if they had kept their original formula. The single from this record, "No Matter What", peaked in the United States at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1970.

The CD was released after the extraordinary success of Band on the Run and also became very popular. Paul McCartney's first album with Capitol Records. After the release of Band on the Run, Wings also included Jimmy McCulloch (lead guitarist) and Jeff Britton (drummer) in 1974. After McCartney wrote several new songs for the upcoming album, the band flew to New Orleans in January 1975 to record Venus and Mars.Britton, after an argument with McCulloch, left the band, having managed to participate in the recording of only three songs of the album. He was urgently picked up a replacement-American Joe English, with whom the recording was continued. McCartney made the songs in Venus and Mars flow smoothly into each other, and the album in this sense became similar to the Beatles ' Abbey Road album. The album was received very warmly, and in all countries of the continent it reaches the Top 10 of the charts. They were founded in 1970 by classical multi-instrumentalist Peter Solly and jazz drummer Keith Webb, two members of Terry reed's band that was part of the opening act for The Rolling Stones on their 1969 American tour . Other band members were Derek Foley (guitar and vocals), formerly of Grisby Dyke; Lou Stonebridge (keyboards and vocals) of Glass Menagerie, who released five progressive rock and psychedelic rock singles, as well as lead singer Grisby Dyke; and Peter Beckett (bass guitar, vocals), who came from Liverpool-based Winston G and the Wicked, and later in the final incarnation of World of Oz .They played at venues across the UK, working to develop their sound by performing a mix of rock, Blues, soul, jazz and Latin music. The paladin's use of a double keyboard also created a unique sound. These performances were noticed by Bronze Records (who also recorded Uriah Heep and Manfred Mann). On January 8, 1971, paladin entered Olympic Studios in London to record his debut self-titled first album, produced by Filamore Lincoln. Reviews were good, but sales were disappointing. ...more
