A rare original by one of the brilliant jazz pianists. The Individualism of Gil Evans is an album by pianist, conductor, arranger, and composer Gil Evans, originally released on the Verve label in 1964. It features Evans ' big band arrangements of five original compositions (two written by Miles Davis) and compositions by Kurt Weill, Bob Dorow, John Lewis, and Willie Dixon.The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow awarded the album 4 stars, stating that " Highly recommended to Gil Evans fans; it's a pity he hasn't recorded more albums in this era." Mega rare original of one of the legends of Russian rock.  Recorded in 1988, the album Yankee Diaghileva. "This is the first official Yankee album, Not Supposed to, recorded at Coffin Studios on January 9, 1988. Subsequently, with the addition of various material from a later period, it was released on vinyl. Yana (Yanka) Stanislavovna Dyagileva (September 4, 1966, Novosibirsk-presumably May 9, 1991, Novosibirsk district, Novosibirsk region) was a Soviet rock singer, author, performer, member of the punk rock groups "Civil Defense", "Great October", etc. One of the brightest representatives of the Siberian underground of the late 1980s.She began to give concerts, mostly apartment concerts, where she performed her songs with a guitar. Diaghilev quickly gained fame and respect in the Soviet rock underground, and Yankee's unauthorized albums were released.During her lifetime, Yanka was not actually noticed by the official media. She really did not like to give interviews, rejected the offer of "Melody" to release a CD, the TV did not shoot video materials about Yanka. Diaghilev never sought popularity and did not contribute in any way to the "promotion" of her name. She died in May 1991. The circumstances of the death are not fully clarified. The official conclusion of the investigation is drowning as a result of an accident.  ...more
