The history of the English band Bedlam The English band "Bedlam "(so named in association with the London psychiatric hospital) It was formed in 1972 by guitarist David Ball and the now legendary but then little-known drummer Cozy Powell. The latter played in the band after leaving the "Jeff Beck Group", and before starting his own band "Cozy Powell's Hammer". The band also included bassist Dennis Ball, who had previously played with John Baldry, and vocalist Francesco Aiello (full name Francesco Aiello). Initially, the quartet was called "The Beast", but then it turned out that there was already an ensemble with this name in America, and the group had a new name - "Bedlam". The band worked in the style of hard rock with the beginnings of heavy metal, a classic example of which was the band's only self-titled album, released in 1973. It was produced by the famous singer, composer and musician Felix Pappalardi, who previously released the albums "Cream", and later founded the group"Mountain".
