It was released in 1969 on the Pink Elephant label. This album was the debut for Mariska Veres. This is the band's first recording with singer Mariska Veres. Robbie van Leeuwen acquired Veres in an attempt to emulate the shape of Jefferson's female airplane. Thanks to Veres ' remarkable vocal performance and stunning appearance, the band finally had an adequate frontwoman. The band's second album was a mix of influences from pop rock to psychedelic rock. It was released in 2006 by Paris-based Ya Basta Records, under the management of Philippe Cohen Solal. The album is named Lunático after the racehorse of the legendary tango master Carlos Gardel. The album is a collaboration with the American band Calexico, recorded in Tucson, Arizona, and a cover of the song by Ry Cooder in Paris, Texas . The rest of the album was recorded in Paris and Buenos Aires . The first single from the album was "Diferente", and the second was "Mi Confesión". The third single was "La Vigüela". The album so captured the hearts of listeners and critics that it was at the top of the charts in 25 countries for a year.
