BEATLES-SAME (WHITE ALBUM) - MONO-1968-FIRST PRESS-UK-APPLE-PCS7068 Matrix numbers: A-1/B-1/C-1/D-1. Version with the added text “An E. M. I. Recording".  The number on the cover is N 80922. The Beatles (also known as The White Album) is the tenth studio album by The Beatles and the band's only double release. The album, released in 1968, is better known as the "White Album" because of its white cover, which contains nothing but the band's name (the early editions also feature a serial number), and which was designed by artist Richard Hamilton as an antithesis to the mottled image of its predecessor. The White Album was the first album The Beatles recorded and released after the death of the band's manager, Brian Epstein. It was originally planned to be called A Doll's House ("Doll's House"), but due to the release of a longplay by the band Family with a similar name, Music in a Doll's House ("Music in a doll's House"), it was decided to rename it . The album reached number 1 in the UK and US charts and is now considered one of the greatest albums of all time and a masterpiece of rock music. So, it was placed at the 10th position in the "Music of the Millennium" poll conducted by HMV, Channel 4, The Guardian and Classic FM, as well as at the 17th place in the similar list of Q magazine. It also reached number 7 in the same publication's "100 Best British Albums of All Time" poll. White Album was ranked the 11th Best Album of All Time by VH1, and was also included in Time Magazine's "100 Best Albums" list. In addition, the record is ranked 10th in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All time, 1st in the L. A. Weekly's "20 Greatest Double Albums", the same place in the NME's "30 Must-Listen Double Albums" list, and the top spot in The Daily Telegraph's "10 Greatest Double Albums in History". According to the RIAA, the White Album is the band's best-selling album in the United States and ranks as the 10th best-selling album in history.

Seven Tears is the seventh studio album by The Hague, South Holland - based rock band Golden Earring, originally (and until 1969) titled The Golden Earrings. 1971 began with the single Holy Holy Life, which had a heavy rock sound. The song, which cursed the hypocrisy of the official religion, reached number 5 in the Netherlands. The single was followed by the album Seven Tears, the title of which reflected, firstly, that it was the band's seventh album, and secondly, that it included seven songs. One long single, She Flies On Strange Wings, was selected from the album, which should be noted for the unusual saxophone of Barry Hay. Due to its length, the song occupied both sides of the vinyl single. The Dutch charts marked it at No. 4. Inspired by the Beatles ' film Let It Be, a film was made for this single, in which Golden Earring performed on the roof of the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam. The album Seven Tears ended with the song You're Better Off Free, sung by Coymans and featuring a thumping guitar solo. During the recording of Seven Tears, Kooijmans, Gerritsen and Suderwijk, along with several other Dutch musicians, teamed up and recorded a rock version of the traditional Dutch music Hans Brinker Symphony, which was released by Polydor under the overall name "Holland" and was a great success in the Dutch charts. ...more
