THIN LIZZY-CHINATOWN-1980-FIRST PRESS UK-VERTIGO-6359030. A rare British original by British hard rockers.  Chinatown is the tenth studio album by the Irish band Thin Lizzy, released in 1980. He introduced guitarist Snowy White, who would also perform on the next album, and also toured with Thin Lizzy between 1980 and 1982; he replaced Gary Moore as the permanent guitarist. White has previously worked with Cliff Richard, Peter Green, and Pink Floyd. Eighteen-year-old Darren Wharton also played keyboards in Chinatown, and later that year he joined Thin Lizzy as a permanent member.  The album reached high positions in the charts, although according to critics it was weaker than Black rose, UK Albums Chart-7 place, Billboard 200 (USA) - 120 place.  ...more

Both Sides were created by Phil Collins on their own, without the involvement of its regular employees (such as producer Hugh Padgham (eng. Hugh Padgham), guitarist Daryl Stormie (eng. Daryl Stuermer), which always helped him to record his albums. Moreover, parties of all musical instruments and all the vocals played and recorded by Collins alone — in his home Studio.Within six weeks Collins self recorded and played all the tracks on the album. He himself became the sole producer of the album.Due to the fact that all the musical material of the album was recorded at home Studio Collins (and transferred to a professional Studio only for final data), the album sounds noticeably different sound from all his previous albums. ...more

ALAN PRICE-O LUCKY MAN-1973-ORIGINAL PRESS 1974 UK-WARNER-K46227. Matrix A-2/B-1. A rare early edition of the cult album. Alan Price said that Lindsay Anderson wanted to make a documentary about Price and his band touring England, but the cost of licensing the songs they performed was too high. While Sherwin and McDowell were developing the script, Anderson decided that Price should write the score, and sent him the script, indicating where he would like to see the songs. Price wrote almost all of the songs before filming began. The soundtrack was released as a vinyl album by Warner Bros. Records, in 1973. In the United States, it entered the top LPs and Tape Chart on August 11, 1973, and spent 14 weeks on the chart, peaking at # 117. The score won the 1974 BAFTA Award for Best Film Score.  ...more

A rare CBS contract original, Made in Japan is a double live album by the English rock band Deep Purple, recorded during their first tour of Japan in August 1972. It was originally released in December 1972, and in the US in April 1973, and became a super commercial success. The album was an immediate commercial success, especially in the US, where it was followed by the top five hit "Smoke on the Water" and became a steady seller throughout the 1970s. This is their last album with drummer Cozy Powell and the only album with vocalist Graham Bonnet.
