A very rare original of one of the best albums in hard glam rock. Sweet Fanny Adams is Sweet's second album, their first of two released in 1974, as well as their first album simply as Sweet. This album was a turning point and a change in the sound of the band. It had more of a hard rock sound than their previous pop albums. Sweet Fanny Adams reached number 27 on the UK Albums chart in the year of its release by RCA Records in 1974 and number 2 on the West German Albums chart. It was not released in the United States, but five of her tracks appeared on the American version of the album Desolation Boulevard, released in July 1975. ...more

Until 1991, it existed only as a magnetoalbum, being distributed by copying. Included in the book by Alexander Kushnir "100 magnetoalbums of Soviet rock", The recording was made on June 7-10, 1981. The sound engineer was Alexander "Artem" Arutyunov. The album was mixed on the spot.  The songs "In life, as in a Dark thicket", "Who's to Blame?" and "I used to wander one" were first recorded in 1979 on the first album. A total of 9 songs were recorded. Produced and arranged by former Lovin 'Spoonful member Jerry Yester, Closing Time was the first of Waits' seven major releases from Asylum. The album was moderately successful in the United States, and although it did not chart and received little attention from the music press in the UK and other countries too. This explains that the album began to be re-released in Europe in the second half of the 70s when Tom became a super star.
