Rare British original of the cult album. Let's Dance is the 15th studio album by English singer David Bowie, released on April 14, 1983 by EMI . After the release of the album Scary Monsters (1980), Bowie began a period of numerous musical collaborations and film performances. During this time, he also left RCA Records due to dissatisfaction. After signing a contract with EMI in late 1982, Bowie decided that he wanted to start all over again, and chose Nile Rodgers from the rock disco band Chic to co-produce his next record. The album was recorded in December 1982 at the power plant in New York. The sessions featured a completely new line-up, including then unknown Texas blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan on lead guitar. For the first time, Bowie did not play any instruments on the album, but only sang. Musically, Let's Dance has been described as a post-disco record with elements of dance rock, dance pop and new wave.
