"Sands" is the ninth "natural" album of the group "Aquarium", consisting mainly of songs from 1975-1986, recorded in 1993. When in the autumn of 1992, "Aquarium" had its own studio at Fontanka, 39, the group had the idea to recreate some songs written by Grebenshchikov in the late 70s-early 80s in their spare time from recording the album "Favorite songs of Ramses IV". The album shows the band as returning to a mix of electric and acoustic compositions, thus closer to their early 70s albums such as Benefit (1970), Aqualung(1971) and Thick as a Brick (1972).
