Mega rare British original of the cult album. Songs of Faith and Devotion is the eighth studio album by the British electronic band Depeche Mode. The album was released on March 22, 1993 on the Mute Records label, and a day later in the United States on the Sire and Reprise Records labels. The album contains a darker and darker sound than its predecessor Violator, largely influenced by the alternative and grunge scene in the US. Songs of Faith and Devotion reached high positions in most country charts and also became the first Depeche Mode album to debut on the chart in both the UK and the US. In support of the album, Depeche Mode embarked on a tour called the Devotional Tour, which lasted 14 months, which is the longest, in terms of duration, tour for the band at that time.  ...more

It was their first album with bass guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Mike Wedgwood. The album's title is a spoonerism for "Stunning Cunts", which is characteristic of their bold use of language. The three previous Caravan albums with titles that are also sexual word games, If I Could Do It Again, I Would Do It Again With You (1970), In the Land of Gray and Pink (1971) and For Girls Who Plump at Night (1973). ...more

A very rare original of one of the best albums in hard glam rock. Sweet Fanny Adams is Sweet's second album, their first of two released in 1974, as well as their first album simply as Sweet. This album was a turning point and a change in the sound of the band. It had more of a hard rock sound than their previous pop albums. Sweet Fanny Adams reached number 27 on the UK Albums chart in the year of its release by RCA Records in 1974 and number 2 on the West German Albums chart. It was not released in the United States, but five of her tracks appeared on the American version of the album Desolation Boulevard, released in July 1975. ...more

The band Tear Gas consisted of musicians who later formed the backbone of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. At the time of joining Alex Harvey, the band consisted of: vocalist David Batchelor, Hugh McKenna-keyboardist and backing vocalist, bassist Chris Glen, Zal Cleminson-guitar and backing vocals, and Hugh McKenna's brother Ted on drums. Harvey took the place at the microphone, and David Batchelor became the sound engineer of the band (by the way, not bad). ...more
