The first compilation album by the American rock band the Eagles, released on February 17, 1976 by Asylum Records. The album contains a selection of songs from the first four Eagles albums released between the formation of the Eagles in 1971 and 1975. Their greatest hits (1971-1975) reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, where they remained for five weeks. "One of These Nights" and "The Best of My Love" topped the Billboard Hot 100. The album is notable for being the first album to receive platinum certification by the RIAA, which was introduced in 1976 to recognize albums sold a million copies in the United States. It peaked at number four on the Billboard year-end Albums chart in 1976 and spent a total of 239 weeks on the Billboard 200 as of August 2018.
