A rare Swedish original of the cult band's debut album. The debut album of the Swedish pop-rock band Roxette. Pearls of Passion was recorded at EMI Studios in Stockholm in 1986, and was released only in Scandinavia and Canada. The first edition of the Swedish record has an engraved inscription on the rim: "T'WAS A PLEASURE - CAPTAIN AND KANGAROO". Mega rare original of the cult album. Artwoods is a British rock band formed in 1963 and worked between 1964 and 1967.Singer Arthur Wood, from whom the band took its name, was the older brother of Ronnie Wood (who later became famous thanks to Faces and Rolling Stones). Art Wood was the lead singer of Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated for a short period in 1962, while also leading his own band ART WOOD COMBO. When keyboardist Jon Lord (later founded DEEP PURPLE)   and guitarist Derek Griffiths of Red Bludd's Bluesicians joined the ART WOOD COMBO, ARTWOODS was formed.  They were very popular competing with the ANIMALS group, but sales did not reflect this popularity.   ...more

SANTANA, CARLOS AND COLTRANE, ALICE - ILLUMINATIONS-1974-FIRST PRESS USA-COLUMBIA-PC32900. Rare American original original. After the release of the album , critics wrote: There is a clear discrepancy between the sheer ambition of this CD and its rather modest status in Santana's discography. The reason, obviously, is that the powerful swing did not quite succeed. We can say that this album is a continuation of the storyline started on Love, Devotion, Surrender with John McLaughlin. Here we are again witnessing a mighty spiritual message and free jazz arrivals. Here, Santana's partner is Alice Coltrane, the widow of the famous jazz musician. It is important that she is not only a widow, but also a harpist (almost the only one in jazz), as well as a pianist and string arranger. The presence of double bassist Dave Holland is also pleasing. The swing here is obvious: a bold attempt to mix classical, jazz and ethnic rhythms together - that is, to make a universal, comprehensive album. Admittedly, on quieter numbers, all this sounds very pleasant: beautiful passages by Santana, Alice's harp overdubs and blissful strings delight the ear, and for the sake of this alone, the album is worth keeping on the shelf. However, the central part of the album is still the 15-minute Angel Of Sunlight, which begins very smoothly, but develops into a frenzied battle of instruments and cultures.   ...more
