Lot 46.DEEP PURPLE & THE ROYAL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, MALCOLM ARNOLD-CONCERTO FOR GROUP AND ORCHESTRA-1970-FIRST PRESS UK-HARVEST-NMINT/NMINT

Concerto for Group and Orchestra (translated from English — "Concert for Group and Orchestra") is a live album by the British rock band Deep Purple, recorded together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. One of the first attempts to harmoniously combine classical music and rock music in one piece. It was released in the USA in December 1969, and in the UK in January 1970. By the time the second line-up of Deep Purple was formed, there was a confrontation in the band between the art-rock ambitions of John Lord and the hard-rock ambitions of Richie Blackmore. BLACK SABBATH-TECHNICAL ECSTASY -1978- FIRST PRESS UK-VERTIGO-9102750. A rare original of the cult album . "Technical Ecstasy" is the seventh studio album by the British rock band Black Sabbath, released in 1976. Musically, the CD is a further development of the musical ideas of the guitarist and main composer of the band Tony Iommi. Just like on the last two albums, on Technical Ecstasy, simple and short songs such as "Rock 'N' Roll Doctor" contrast with longer and more complex songs such as "You Won't Change Me" and "Dirty Women". The source material was somewhat spoiled by unimportant production [the source is not specified for 102 days, and therefore could not repeat the commercial success of its predecessor, the album Sabotage (1975). Nevertheless, partly thanks to the beautiful songs, and partly thanks to the big name "Black Sabbath", this album sold steadily and eventually received its "platinum" in the UK and "gold" in the USA. Technical Ecstasy reached number 13 in the UK charts and number 51 in the US Billboard magazine charts ...more
