Records in the USA. The presence of detailed musical compositions with long instrumental passages in the album brings it closer in style to progressive rock. This is the last CD of the band recorded with the participation of the original drummer Peak Withers. The singles from the album, "Private Investigations", reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart, and "Industrial Disease" reached number 9 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. The album topped the charts in Australia, Austria, Italy, New Zealand, Norway and the UK, and peaked at No. 19 in the US. The album reached number six on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) four months after its release.
