ELMER GANTRY'S VELVET OPERA-SAME-1968-THE FIRST PRESS OF UK-DIRECTION-S8-63300. A very rare original of the cult album of the British psycho-prog band.  Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera, at various times also known as "Velvet Opera", was a British rock band that operated in the late 1960s. The band members, Richard Hudson, John Ford and Paul Brett, disbanded after two albums in 1970. Later they became members of The Strawbs, Hudson Ford and Stretch.

It was the first album to be released after the band's reorganization, after their breakup in 1970. Founding guitarist Luther Grosvenor did not return to the band as he joined Mott the Hoople as a guitarist, adopting the stage name Ariel Bender. Grosvenor was replaced by Mick Jones, who later co-founded Foreigner, and drummer Mike Kelly was replaced by Bryson Graham. Vocalist and songwriter Michael Fennelly hit the Top 40 with his first single "Go Back".  Crabby Appleton signed with Elektra Records and recorded their first album Crabby Appleton, produced by Don Gallucci and released in 1970.[1] The band's debut single "Go Back" rose to number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.[2] The band opened for the Doors, Sly and the Family Stone, Three Dog Night, Guess Who, ABBA and George Carlin. They appeared on the American Bandstand, the Real Don Steele Show, What's Happening with John Byner and enjoyed critical acclaim. Both their albums, Crabby Appleton and Rotten to the Core, received rave reviews in Rolling Stone and Creem magazines. The band's second album, Rotten to the Core, was recorded in 1971, but sales were disappointing and the band broke up.[1] After the breakup of the band, Fennelly recorded two solo albums: Lane Changer, recorded in England in 1974; and Stranger's Bed, recorded in Los Angeles the following year.  ...more

G N’ R Lies (also known as Lies) is the second Studio album by American rock band Guns N’ Roses, released in 1988. According to the RIAA, it sold over five million copies in the U.S. alone, becoming instantly multiplatinovymi. The first four tracks previously released on the EP Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide. The last four songs were recorded using acoustic guitars. They were written and recorded in only a few sessions in the Studio (except "You're Crazy", which was included in an alternate version of the album Appetite for Destruction).In later interviews, Axl rose said that he likes how the band sounded on the last four songs, but he hated the sound of his voice. Rose recalled that his voice was hoarse and rough due to long touring bands at the time, and if he could, he re-recorded his vocals.
