Mega rare original of the cult album.Computerwelt is the eighth studio album by German electronic band Kraftwerk, released in 1981. This is the fifth, since Autobahn (1974), concept album by the band, dedicated this time to the world of computers, calculators and numbers. By the time Computerwelt was released, pop music had already counted dozens of successful electronic bands who, having adopted Kraftwerk's previous ideas, took them to the next level; against this background, the Kraftwerk album was not so revolutionary. The album was released in the USA on June 7, 1976 by Capitol Records (catalog number SKBO 11537), in the UK on June 10, 1976 by Parlophone (catalog number PCSP 719); at that time, some media suggested that the album was released on the twentieth anniversary of the first meeting of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. If this was indeed the intention, then EMI made a mistake in their calculations, since in reality these two first met in July 1957. The album's title, Rock ’n’ Roll Music, is most likely taken from a Chuck Berry song, a version of which performed by The Beatles was included on the second side of the album.
