Matrices A-1 CTH/B-1 CTH.  A rare American early edition with the first matrices . The Soft Parade is the fourth studio album by the American rock band The Doors, released on July 18, 1969 on the Elektra label. The Soft Parade has not received approval from either critics or listeners. So, in the Billboard 200, the record reached only the sixth position, and in the charts of the UK and other European countries, the disc did not debut at all, unlike its predecessor Waiting for the Sun (1968). Of all the singles released in support of the album — "Touch Me", "Wishful Sinful", "Tell All the People"ruen and "Runnin' Blue" — only the first achieved sales success: it reached the third line in the Billboard Hot 100 and then received gold certification by the RIAA. Many music publications, for example, Rolling Stone, were dissatisfied with the record, mainly due to The Doors' attempt to move away from their style to the use of orchestral arrangements. Over time, music historians have changed their opinion about The Soft Parade for the better, but the CD is still recognized as one of the weakest works of the band during Morrison's lifetime. ...more

The Final Cut was released in the UK on 21 March 1983, and in the US on 2 April, it reached number one in the UK, surpassing The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. It was less successful in America, peaking at number six on the Billboard album charts. With over 1,000,000 units shipped in the United States, the Recording Industry Association of America certified Final Cut Platinum in May 1983.
