A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the rock band Queen, released on December 2, 1975. The record was a great success: its sales reached three million, and in the UK charts it held the first position for four inconsistent weeks. The title of the album — "A Night at the Opera" — as well as the subsequent one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers, namely from the film of the same name. At each Queen concert, several songs from A Night at the Opera were necessarily performed (while "Love of My Life" was never performed in the album version). It is considered that the song "Death on Two Legs" is dedicated to the former producer of the band. "Bohemian Rhapsody" brought the band a resounding success and in 2000 was recognized in Britain as the "song of the millennium". The final album "God Save the Queen" is the anthem of Great Britain arranged by Brian May; it was this composition that invariably completed each concert of the band. The album was ranked 230th on Rolling Stone magazine's 2003 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, and 128th on the 2020 list.

Walls and Bridges is the fifth solo studio album by Beatles band member John Lennon, released in 1974. "Walls And Bridges" was recorded during Lennon and Yoko Ono's long separation. Elton John took part in the recording of the song "Whatever Gets You thru the Night". He bet Lennon that this song could take the first place in the American charts (which had not previously been possible for any of Lennon's solo singles). In case that happened, Lennon was obliged to take part in an Elton John concert. He had to fulfill his promise because "Whatever Gets You thru the Night" really managed to climb to the top of the chart. The composition "Beef Jerky" is the only instrumental on Lennon's solo albums. In the song "Ya Ya", Lennon's eleven-year-old son Julian plays drums. ...more

The album became a kind of return to the roots. After an unsuccessful attempt to release a dance album, the band realizes that people want the old Queen with powerful heavy fast numbers (Now I'm Here, Dead On Time, Tie Your Mother Down), lyrical ballads (Love Of My Life, Jealous), hard rock ballads in the spirit of "waving the flag" (We Are The Champions, In The Lap Of The Gods), opera polyphony (The Prothet's Song, Somebody To Love) and metal fast beats (Stone Cold Crazy, Let Me Entertain You). Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band The Beatles. Abbey Road took place from February to August 1969 and was the last joint project of all four members of the ensemble (the last numbered album of the group Let It Be, released in 1970, was mostly recorded in January 1969). The record was produced by George Martin, who had worked with the band since 1962. Abbey Road sold four million copies in its first two months. In the UK, the album debuted at the top of the national chart, where it remained for 11 weeks, before being pushed out by The Rolling Stones ' Let It Bleed for one week. It then returned to # 1 again (in the Christmas week) and stayed there for another six weeks (17 weeks in total), until it was displaced by Led Zeppelin's second record, Led Zeppelin II. In total, Abbey Road spent 81 weeks on the UK albums chart. The situation was similar abroad.
