Pawn Hearts is the fourth album by the English progressive rock band Van der Graaf Generator, released in October 1971 on Charisma Records. The original album included only three tracks, including the suite "A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers". The album was not a commercial success in the UK, but reached number one in Italy.

ATLANTIS-SAME-1972-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-VERTIGO-6360609. A rare original continuation of the cult prog group FRUMPY. Atlantis was formed at the end of the summer of 1972 by Inga Rumpf (vocals), Jean-Jacques Kravets (keyboards) and Karl-Heinz Schott (bass). These musicians previously played in the band Frumpy. The founding members also included guitarist Frank Dees and drummer Kurt Kress (formerly of the band Emergency). After several live performances in Germany, the first LP was released at Island Records Studio in London, which was widely recognized, especially in the United States, where Rumpf's bluesy vocals were appreciated. Diz and Kress left the band after recording. For a four-week tour of England with Procol Harum and Traffic, George Meyer joined Atlantis as guitarist and Udo Lindenberg joined Atlantis as drummer. After the tour, they were replaced by Dieter Bornschlegel (who had previously worked with the band Dreamtorte) and Ringo Funk (who had previously worked with Geronimo), with whom the second album It's Getting Better (1973) was recorded. ...more

It was recorded at Mountain Studios in Montreux, Switzerland, and at the Power Station in New York City from September to November 1986. The album was produced by Bowie together with David Richards, and also with the participation of Peter Frampton on guitar. Musically, Never Let Me Down was characterized as pop rock, art rock and hard rock; Bowie himself considered this album a return to rock and roll. The cover depicts Bowie surrounded by numerous elements from the songs. Never Let Me Down was a commercial success, peaking at number 6 in the UK.
