Released on January 16, 1968, the album features a thunderous bluesy sound that would later become known as heavy metal. Due to commercial success and critical acclaim, Vincebus Eruptum reached number 11 on the Billboard 200 album chart and secured the 14th line of the cover version of Eddie Cochran's song "Summertime Blues". Work on the album A Momentary Lapse of Reason lasted from November 1986 to July 1987 in seven studios in London and Los Angeles. The main part of the material for the new album was written by David Gilmour. In addition, Gilmore took over the duties of producer. Bob Ezrin was invited to record the album as a co-producer. DEEP PURPLE-PERFECT STRANGERS-1984-THE FIRST HOLLAND-POLYDOR 823777-1 PRESS is a rare European original in top condition. Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple and the first recorded by the reunited "classic line—up" of the band, released in November 1984.  At the beginning of October, Perfect Strangers was mixed, and on November 16 it went on sale, rising to 5th place in Britain and 17th in the USA. Blackmore, known for his clumsiness, joked that the album should finally be called the 1974 album, hinting that the last album recorded in this line-up was released back in 1973 (Who Do We Think We Are). Such zeal did not remain without consequences: the album turned out to be very successful, quickly became platinum, took 5th place in the UK charts and 17th place in the USA.
