Released in 1968, it introduces Muddy Waters as a psychedelic musician. Producer Marshall Chess suggested that Muddy Waters record it in an attempt to appeal to a rock audience. The album reached number 127 on the Billboard 200 chart. A very rare British original of the cult album. Pendulum is the sixth studio album by American band Creedence Clearwater Revival, recorded at Wally Hyder's studio in San Francisco and released on the Fantasy label in December 1970. Pendulum is the last CCR album to feature rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, who left the band shortly after the album's release. The record demonstrates the group's desire to expand its own stylistic framework, a number of his compositions are musically noticeably more complex than the CCR recordings of the 1968-1969 sample. He uses mostly the services of sessions, and took Jess Roden on vocals.In late 1974, Hartley and Anderson Miller settled their differences and formed a new band, Dog Soldier, which also included guitarist Derek Griffiths (ex-Artwoods), keyboardist Mel Simpson and bassist Paul Bliss. Hymns to the Silence is the twenty-first studio album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison. It was his first studio double album. Morrison recorded the album in 1990 in Buckington at The Wool Hall Studios and in London at the Townhouse and Westside Studios. When Hymns to the Silence was released in 1991, it reached number five on the UK Albums Chart and received positive reviews from critics. A very rare original of the English prog-psycho band. Pink Fairies — What a Bunch of Sweeties (1972) This release is by many the most beloved of the three Pink Fairies albums recorded on the Polydor label. The record was recorded in 1972, at a time when the band's own reputation as hippie hooligans was already overshadowed by the soaring Hawkwind, "What a Bunch of Sweets" found that the band was rebuilding under the perverted American-rock style of modern MC5, with a high level of noise, but, unfortunately, with a low level of explosive determination, which was the hallmark of their debut album.The loss of the band's founder (Twink) may or may not have contributed to the further breakup, although it cannot be denied that in full instrumental overdrive, the incarnation of the three-person band (plus invited guests) was at least as dramatic as that of its predecessor. Indeed, the nine-minute attack on The Ventures' song "Walk Don't Run" ranks among the best Pink Fairies recordings of all time, while the bonus inclusion of an even longer version gives this record even more significance. There is also a hot version of The Beatles song "I Saw Her Standing There", a perverted country opus "Pigs of Uranus" and, concluding about the bonus tracks, a gloomy reinterpretation of the Don Nicks song "Goin' Down". ...more
