A rare original of the iconic jazzman. City of Eyes is an album by American jazz guitarist Ralph Towner recorded in 1988 and released on ECM the following April. The quintet consists of trumpeter Marcus Stockhausen, oboist Paul McCandless and rhythm section Gary Peacock and Jerry Granelli. Tom Jurek's review on AllMusic awarded the album 4 stars, stating: "City of Eyes once again shows Ralph Towner as a musical researcher, composer and instrumentalist who can convincingly create sonic journeys through time, space and terrain." ...more

A very rare original of the English prog-psycho band. Pink Fairies — What a Bunch of Sweeties (1972) This release is by many the most beloved of the three Pink Fairies albums recorded on the Polydor label. The record was recorded in 1972, at a time when the band's own reputation as hippie hooligans was already overshadowed by the soaring Hawkwind, "What a Bunch of Sweets" found that the band was rebuilding under the perverted American-rock style of modern MC5, with a high level of noise, but, unfortunately, with a low level of explosive determination, which was the hallmark of their debut album.The loss of the band's founder (Twink) may or may not have contributed to the further breakup, although it cannot be denied that in full instrumental overdrive, the incarnation of the three-person band (plus invited guests) was at least as dramatic as that of its predecessor. Indeed, the nine-minute attack on The Ventures' song "Walk Don't Run" ranks among the best Pink Fairies recordings of all time, while the bonus inclusion of an even longer version gives this record even more significance. There is also a hot version of The Beatles song "I Saw Her Standing There", a perverted country opus "Pigs of Uranus" and, concluding about the bonus tracks, a gloomy reinterpretation of the Don Nicks song "Goin' Down". ...more

A very rare British original with the first matrices .Houses of the Holy is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Led Zeppelin, released on March 28, 1973 on Atlantic Records. Page described the idea of the cover as "a symbol of innocence, an expression of the idea that we are all beings who aspire to the promised heaven." Six-year-old Samantha Gates and her four-year-old brother Stefan posed. The cover photo is a collage of more than thirty pictures. The album cover did not contain any information about the artists or the title. In the USA, the headline was written on ribbons that were taped over children's buttocks. Despite this precaution, the record was banned in many states of the "Bible Belt". "They wouldn't let us do anything like that today, they would immediately accuse us of pedophilia propaganda," says Powell, "but we were hippies, walking around naked was completely commonplace for us." In 2011, the album cover was ranked 28th in the list of the best album covers of all time by the online edition of Music Radar. Hymns to the Silence is the twenty-first studio album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison. It was his first studio double album. Morrison recorded the album in 1990 in Buckington at The Wool Hall Studios and in London at the Townhouse and Westside Studios. When Hymns to the Silence was released in 1991, it reached number five on the UK Albums Chart and received positive reviews from critics. Morrison's use of various musical styles was well received, as were the more mundane songs from the album, with an otherwise spiritual content. ...more
